End of Module Self Evaluation

What skills have you developed through this module, and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
I feel I have developed my skills in InDesign, the Type & Grid lessons where very useful in understanding layout for print. I have also tried to vary my visual outcomes by using different print processes such as letterpress and screen print and know feel confident to use them in future briefs. I again have also enjoyed craft, which I did in the 'Communication Is A Virus' brief where I created a mailshot.

What approaches to/methods of design practice have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
I feel that I am getting better at documenting my work as I go along, and understanding the importance of this. I have worked on making my work clear, not just so I can understand how my work is developing, but so others can see it to. And I feel this is rewarding when showing my work in crits and being able to get formative feedback and then further develop my design practice.

What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?
I have tried to create final designs using alternative print process, rather than just the usual digital process and have liked doing so. Such as screen print letterpress, and I would like to try other processes to. I also have liked crafting work and making it 3d ratehr than 2d.

What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these more fully?
I feel I need to be more decisive when it comes to my work, and also gain an even balance for the research part of a brief and the design part. I also would  like to look into different stocks rather than just using what is in the digital print room.

Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
-I will be more decisive when it comes to my design work
-I will use different print processes
-I will carry on trying to keep my blog up to date as I feel this gives me an advantage than letting it all build up.
-I will create more printed protypes and mock-ups of my work before choosing the final outcomes.
-I will research thoroughly
Are there any things we could have done differently that would have benefited your progress?
I would create more different variations of my work and expand more witht he ideas and try to think as widely as possible.

How would you grade yourself in the following areas:
Where 5= excellent; 4= very good; 3= good; 2= average; 1= poor
Attendance: 5
Punctuality: 4
Motivation: 5
Commitment: 4
